Get your money back.

Answer two quick questions and we'll tell you exactly what to do.

Question 1 of 2

How did you pay?

Question 2 of 2

Which bank is your card with?

Good news — AIB can get your money back.

You're entitled to a chargeback — that's when your bank reverses the payment and puts the money straight back on your card. You don't need a solicitor or any special knowledge. Just make one phone call.

How it works — step by step

  1. Find a quiet moment. The call takes about 5–10 minutes. Have your bank card nearby.
  2. Call the number below. When someone answers, say you want to raise a chargeback.
  3. Use the script below. Read it word for word — you don't need to explain anything else.
  4. Give them your details. They'll ask for the amount you paid and the date. Check your bank statement if you're not sure.
  5. Wait for confirmation. They'll give you a reference number. Your money is typically back within 5–10 working days.

Step 2 — Call your bank now

0818 724 724

Mon–Fri 9am–5pm

Read this out loud — word for word
"Hi, I'd like to raise a chargeback please. The merchant is Rathwood Home and Garden World. They have entered examinership and I have not received a refund. The amount was [€amount] and I paid on [date]. I'd like to request a full refund through the chargeback process."

Also fill in the official claim form

This is separate to the bank call and takes about 2 minutes. It registers you in the official process and makes sure you're covered even if the bank claim takes time.

Good news — you can get your money back through the app.

Revolut lets you dispute a payment directly in the app — no phone call needed. It only takes a few minutes.

Good news — PayPal can refund you.

PayPal has a Buyer Protection policy that covers you when a seller can't fulfil an order. You can open a claim directly in your account — PayPal handles it, not Rathwood.

How to do it — step by step

    1. Open PayPal. Go to paypal.com on your phone or computer, or open the PayPal app. Log in to your account.
    2. Find the payment. Go to Activity and scroll to find your Rathwood payment.
    3. Open a dispute. Tap the payment, then tap "Report a problem" at the bottom of the page.
    4. Choose your reason. Select "I want a refund" or "I didn't receive my item".
    5. Submit and wait. PayPal will review your case. They usually resolve it within a few days and will email you with updates.

Paid with a card through PayPal and your claim was declined? You may also be able to claim through your card provider. Check your bank →

Your route is the official claim form.

Bank transfers aren't covered by chargeback rules — but the claim form is your path to a refund.

    What to do

    1. Fill in the form below — it takes about 2 minutes.
    2. Have your order details and proof of payment ready.
