Guarantee Information

Our warranties cover structural damage for rattan garden furniture. However, rust or fading is not covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover natural wear and tear. Garden furniture cushions and glass are only covered under warranty if they have arrived damaged. If these items have arrived damaged, we may replace them if you inform us within 14 days of delivery. After this time, the warranty will not cover these items.

The following is covered by the warranty, provided it's within our terms: 

• Structural damage is covered if it arrives damaged or if the structural damage has not been caused by misuse of the product. If the damage occurs within the warranty period, then the item will be replaced.

 The following is not covered by warranty for Rathwood Furniture, regardless of warranty length: 

• Wear and tear occurs on all furniture and garden furniture is no different. Rathwood maintains the right to determine what is classed as natural wear and tear. This will not be covered under any guarantee.
• Rattan naturally sags during warmer weather, and due to its pliable nature, it should return to normal. However, the rattan can melt under certain conditions, such as from external, extreme heat sources or magnification during warmer weather. Melted rattan isn't covered under any guarantee, and we always recommend using coasters for your glassware when using our rattan dining tables.  We recommend using protective covers when sets are not in use.
• Fading, discolouration, stains, or other damage reported to us more than 14 days after delivery is not covered.
• Flaking framework does not reflect or affect the quality of the product and is purely aesthetic, therefore this isn’t covered by warranty.
• If the rattan is scuffed, having been pulled down and showing the staples, is often from the general use of the set. This does not effect the structural integrity of the set and therefore isn’t covered under the warranty.

Rathwood reserves the right to decide whether a replacement or compensation is applicable in various instances.

All other products are guaranteed for a term of one year.

Discounted accessories and show models do not have a guarantee and cannot be exchanged.

Our aluminium garden furniture in our DW range is covered by a 7-year warranty. 

Structural damage coverage is the same as above and does not cover scratches or flaking. 

The cast aluminium collection is covered by a 5-year warranty, the warranty does not cover wear and tear, or flaking frames.

For our firepit sets, the warranty covers structural damage for the garden furniture.

Firepit tables in the DW range are also covered by this structural guarantee except the firepit system itself, which comes with a 7-year warranty. 

Firepits from other suppliers aren’t covered under the warranty if there is wear and tear, damage to the glass and if the ignition system isn’t maintained.

These are all covered by structural damage not derived from misuse. Damage to parasols including bending and damage from high winds is not covered. We always recommend that your parasols are used in conjunction with a suitable base, never used in windy conditions and be removed from the set when not in use.

Rust, fade and discolouration are part of the ageing process and can be accelerated if the furniture is exposed to the weather elements without a protective cover. If the crank handle of your parasol snaps, we will replace the handle itself under the warranty, instead of replacing the whole parasol. The handles are not permanently attached to the product, so they can be easily replaced.  Please remember that Rathwood holds the right to determine whether a product has been misused. 

For cantilever parasols, the handles are not permanently attached to the product, so they can be replaced. However, if the parasol has been overtightened, then the parasol cannot be fixed and replaced. Rathwood reserves the right to determine whether a product has been misused.

We provide a 2 year guarantee on all Alexander Rose parasols, please see here for more information : Alexander Rose Warranty other parasol is cover by a one year guarantee.

Should your cover rip at the seams, the cover is covered by warranty. However, if the cover is ripped due to force or cut with sharp objects, it will not be replaced. Rathwood holds the right to assess the damage and decide whether it is caused by the manufacturer or due to inappropriate use of the product. 

Please note that covers may fade when exposed to direct sunlight, but such colour fading is not covered by warranty.

The warranty period for this product is 1 year.

There is no warranty on our cushions. All cushions for garden furniture sets should be stored indoors when not in use. Even when covers are used to protect the furniture, cushions should always be stored inside.

No garden furniture cushions should be left under our covers at any time, any damage such as mould or mildew that appears on cushions left under our covers are not covered.

We do not offer replacement cushions as they come with all sets.

The storage boxes in our ranges are not fully weatherproof. The storage boxes in our DW range come with a 7-year warranty. For more info on our other storage boxes, please email support@rathwood.com

All of our Gazebos & Pergola's have supplier warranties. Please email support@rathwood.com  for more information on this.

Natural wear and tear and rusting are not covered and nor are defects or damage caused by improper use or extreme weather conditions such as high winds or storms.

Benches are covered under a 3 - 5 year structural guarantee as advised by our supplier.

Alexander Rose Warranty

All of our BBQ's and Pizza ovens have supplier warranties. Please email support@rathwood.com  for more information on this.

Real Christmas trees cannot be returned.
Christmas lights have a 12 month warranty.

All our Christmas Tree in the DW range have a 7 year warranty. Please see what is covered below:

Structure and Branches: Protection against manufacturing defects in the metal or plastic frame, base connection points, and branch integrity.

Tree Stand: Guarantee against faults in material or workmanship affecting functionality.

Pre-Lit Electrical Components (if applicable): 

Coverage for electrical faults in:
Plug and internal wiring
Connecting pole or integrated wiring junctions
LED or fixed bulb string systems

Tree Structure and Branches: 2 years
Tree Stand: 10 years
Pre-Lit Electrical Components (if applicable): 2 years

Guarantee Exemptions

1. Damage incurred to the product as a result of deviation from the assembly instructions provided with the product.

2. The guarantee shall be deemed null and void wherein the product has been exported outside the jurisdiction of Ireland and the United Kingdom.

3. Any evidence of damage incurred to a product as a result of misuse or abuse.

4. Where care instructions provided with the product have not been adhered to resulting in the product not being properly maintained.

5. Where the product has been altered or repaired by the consumer or a third party.

6. Burst or split zips on cushion covers and any flattening or interior settlement due to the natural progression of cushions over time.

7. General wear and tear from use of the product. Including but not limited to, accidental damage, staining, soiling, scuffing, breakage or tears and burns.

8. Any chipping to the products finished surface from natural wear and tear.

9. Where the product is in an unsanitary condition, Rathwood reserves the right to refuse the collection or disposal of this product.

10. Weathering to wooden products such as fading, cracking and wood splitting. This is the natural aging process of wood.

11. Chipping, scratches or smashed glass caused through use.

12. Natural rusting from steel staples/pins from weathering.

13. Scratches, dents and bends in parasol poles.

14. Products purchased from Clearances Sales at Rathwood HQ or marked as non-returnable/ final sale.

15. Mold or mildew on fabric products (for example, cushion covers, parasol canopy).

16. Tears or rips in garden furniture covers where evidence of force or sharp ononbjects used.

17. Electrical faults resulting from overloading, external power surges, or improper use.

18. Damage caused by exposure to moisture or storage in unsuitable conditions.

19. Any melting or burnt rattan.

20. Products used for Commercial use (eg, hotels, Airbnb’s, restaurants etc..).

21. Damage from incorrect assembly or failure to follow provided instructions.

Where a valid defect is identified, Rathwood may, at its discretion:

Replace the item or relevant component(s)
Offer a partial refund or store credit where applicable
Provide compensation in lieu of a replacement
