Rathwood Halloween Pirate Adventure

If you are looking for a a fun day out with the family over mid-term you need to check out Rathwood and their Halloween Pirate adventure.

We decided to start our day in the Merrytree restaurant with coffee and some tasty scones. There is plenty of seating and the kids are provided with pencils and colouring to keep them entertained.

Once we checked in and met the pirate Captain Jack who was very entertaining, then we headed on the train to search for treasure!

On our adventure we rescued Penelope Sail and there was singing, surprises, adventure and fighting with Captain Hook. The kids loved it and it and it had just the right amount of scary for the little ones!

Captain Jack, Penelope Sail and the other pirates were great characters and were very good at interacting with the kids.

We headed back to the pumpkin patch where the kids picked a pumpkin each and they got stuck in to carving them. They really enjoyed this and we got to take them home. The kids also got to take home some treasure.

We decided to have a walk around afterwards and did the Ireland maze (not included in package) which we all enjoyed...

Afterwards we headed up to Merrytree restaurant for some hot chocolate and the kids had a quick play in the playground.

If you are going definitely get the kids to dress up and try not to get too distracted by all the lovely shops!
