Perfect Food for Easter - slow cooked shoulder of Lamb

Quinoa (pronounced KEEN-wah) has risen to superstar fame in recent years. It’s a gluten-free, high-protein, high-fiber, quick-cooking whole grain with a nutty flavor and a fun pop between the teeth when cooked. You’ll find beige, red, black, or tricolor quinoa in stores; they all taste the same, so use whichever colour you prefer. Because quinoa has a bitter-flavored natural coating, it’s always a good idea to rinse it before cooking. Quinoa is great for pilafs, salads, soups, casseroles, and more.

In case you haven’t encountered quinoa yet, it is a pseudo cereal that grows near the Andes in South America. By pseudo cereal, I mean that it is grain-like, but it’s technically not a grass like wheat. So I guess it is kinda cheating a little.

Quinoa – pronounced Keen-Wah is the ‘go-to’ food for healthy meals. However, like its sister staple rice, it can be tricky to cook. Not enough water in the cooking process and the grain like texture is too crunchy and moreover will absorb any liquids afterwards. If you are adding a dressing then this can result in too strong a flavour as the undercooked quinoa soaks up too much.

Once you have your oak table then the next question to ask is what kind of finish you would like. Unlike cheap fast growing wood, oak has beautiful markings and grain. So, it makes sense to provide a finish that shows off those granulations. Typically oak furniture, especially something like an oak dining table that has a large surface, can be finished in either oil or lacquer.

Cast aluminium has many qualities that make it a popular material for outdoor furniture and a fantastic choice for patio and garden furniture in Ireland. Here’s why:
