• At the Bird of Prey Centre we have approximately thirty birds, from the little owl weighting only 40z. right up to the large and majestic Golden Eagle.

Falconry Hands on Experience

Become a Falconer and enjoy the magic of a Hawk Walk. Starting out from Rathwood, come and enjoy a unique experience walking with a Harris Hawk in beautiful Woodlands. Observe the bird, flying from tree to tree, ever watchful for the call to fly back to your glove. You can fly one of our Harris Hawks "Martha or Hilda". which are native to Central and Southern America. So make sure to bring your camera! First come and meet all the birds in the Bird of Prey Centre; the Golden Eagle, Vulture and a selection of hawks, falcons and Owls from around the world. Then take a leisurly stroll through the adjoining woodland. Woodlands Falconry provide other falconry events and experience days to suit all occasions.
